I am going to need you all to forgive me for always thinking in music, but remember that song that went, ‘we are young and wild and free!’ I think this should be our life, doing the most with the people we love. Someone on twitter said something in the line of our friends are our real family because they are the ones that really know us and I just… listen, your friends are gems and therefore they should be on your list!

Take it from me, the people you call friends and who are friends to you are the best thing to ever happen to you. I have been away from home for 3 years now and in those 3 years, I have not found people to replace my gems with. We may take them for granted but when they are taken from us, we learn the hard way.

If there is a time that I have learned about lonely it is in this season that I have been away from home. Nothing feels the same and quite frankly I do not know how to start afresh, 2020 was my year to try and make friends and explore, but well… Corona had other plans. I am taking friendship applications though, drop them in the comment section. Let’s do this!

Need I say more, this is bonding time and obviously an opportunity to flex on us. Yes, we know you will not let us rest on the gram. Talk about a way to have loads of fun and learn more about them whom you call friends. And traveling with friends will give you the courage to try something new, it always feels better when it is a team effort.

A little competition never hurt anybody! Gather at one place and find out who amongst y’all is a sore loser.

It’s their birthday? Gift them. You woke up and felt so much love and appreciation for them? Gift them. I mean, gift them for breathing if you want. Just remember to get a gift that makes sense for them. Question, do you know your friends love languages?

Hype them when they are chasing the goals, celebrate with them when they reach the goals. Chances are you are the first person they tell when this happens. Do you see how important it is to have people who love you around, you grow! Be there with them in this lovely time.

I am not trying to start anything but have you ever had a jealous friend? How did you deal with that?

Hear me out, nothing brings people together better than food (alcohol may compete) but please show me someone who says they do not like food? Cook at home, meet at a new restaurant or try out a new food truck together. I have said this before if you are not adding food to the mix please count me out!

Genuine friends are gifts, never take them for granted. Whilst we are here, thank you to all my friends, I love you to the moon and back! With this, I say, CIAO!
